THE [drop] LEGS

Byron Bay

Drop Legs are (or are damn sure about to be) everyone’s favourite coastal chill/hip hop/reggae sensation. They’re smooth, clever and funky, and you need them in your playlist.

(Erica Mallett, FBi & Triple J Radio, Coda Conduct)

High energy, hip hop influenced reggae, with grimy rock roots is what the boys from The Drop Legs seem to be dropping on people's heads, week after week. If you can't find them playing a gig in their local hub,Byron Bay, you can find them throwing reckless air reverses, over your head in the water.

The Drop Legs boys are a crew of eccentric, fun loving, hip hop, reggae fanatics, who just want to play their music in whatever way they can. Whether it's garage freestyle sessions or louder, packed, sold out shows, they get their party vibe across. If you're gonna come out to a show and party, your floppy hat game better be strong and your dancing game stronger.

The band have attracted a solid following with their energetic live performances fusing of Heavy reggae, ska and coastal Hip Hop. The band’s accelerating career has seen them recently complete their fifth East-Coast tour ending on another packed out show at The Manly Moonshine Bar, as well as touring Indonesia for Sailor Jerry and supporting the likes of Opiou, Sticky Fingers, Bootleg Rascal, Bonjah, Band of Frequencies, Ocean Alley, The Bennies and more.

The Drop Legs had a great run in 2016 with two singles "750 mls" and “Criminal” being premiered on triple J's RootsnAll, as well as playing Psyfari festival, Island Vibes festival and Bohemian Beat Freaks Festival.

So far in 2017 the bands latest single "Lizzy" has also been a popular feature on Triple J and community radio stations across Australia - an exciting lead up to the band's debut album releasing later in the year. We’re pumped.
